Plot Synopsis
“Mr. Plankton” follows Hae Jo (Woo Do-Hwan), a man who feels unloved because he does not know the identity of his real father. This uncertainty leads others to view him as an outsider. His life takes a turn when he receives news that motivates him to search for his father. During his journey, he is joined by Jo Jae-Mi (Lee Yoo-Mi).
Jo Jae-Mi has always dreamed of having a family. She is engaged to Eo Heung (Oh Jung-Se), the heir of a wealthy food company run by the Eo family, including his mother, Beom Ho-Ja (Kim Hae-Sook). Although the family does not approve of Jo Jae-Mi as a suitable wife for Eo Heung, they accept her under the pretense that she is pregnant. However, on their wedding day, just before the ceremony begins, Jo Jae-Mi disappears with Hae Jo.
