She Taught Me Serendipity (Japanese: 今日の空が一番好き、とまだ言えない僕は; Kyo no Sora ga Ichiban Suki, to Mada Ienai Boku wa) is an upcoming Japanese romance film set to release in April 2025. Directed by Akiko Ohku, known for her work on Tokyo Serendipity, the film is based on the novel by comedian Shusuke Fukutoku. It marks Ohku's first romance film told from the perspective of the male protagonist, Toru Konishi, played by Riku Hagiwara, with Yuumi Kawai co-starring as Hana Sakurada.
Plot
Toru Konishi (Riku Hagiwara) is a university student whose life feels dull and unfulfilled. His days consist of hanging out with his only friend and working part-time at a bathhouse. His mundane routine is interrupted when he notices Hana Sakurada (Yuumi Kawai) in a classroom and becomes captivated by her poised appearance. As their romantic relationship develops, a sudden and shocking incident changes both of their lives.
