Snow White Must Die: Black Out (Korean Title백설공주에게 죽음을 - BLACK OUT) is an upcoming South Korean television drama series starring Byun Yo-Han, Ko Jun, Go Bo-Gyeol, and Kim Bo-Ra. The series is based on the 2010 novel "Snow White Must Die" by German author Nele Neuhaus. The first teaser trailer was released recently, highlighting key moments and dialogue from the show. The series is set to premiere on August 16, 2024.

Plot

The series follows Ko Jung-Woo (Byun Yo-Han), who, at 19 years old, was a high school student in Muchon Town, poised to enter a prestigious medical school. However, his life drastically changes when he is arrested for the murders of two female classmates. Jung-Woo cannot remember if he committed the murders, and the bodies were never found. After serving ten years in prison, he returns to his hometown, intending to leave and start anew. However, a series of strange events prevent him from leaving, drawing him into a quest to uncover the truth behind the murders. He collaborates with Detective No Sang-Cheol (Ko Jun), an elite detective whose career and life were shattered after his bride was brutally murdered on their wedding day. Together, they reinvestigate the old case.

Choi Na-Kyeom (Go Bo-Gyeol) is Jung-Woo's former classmate, who has had a long-standing crush on him and supported him throughout his imprisonment. She dreams of a happy life with him now that he is free. Meanwhile, Ha Seol (Kim Bo-Ra), a medical school dropout who has been traveling around the country, ends up in Muchon Town and becomes entangled in the unfolding events while working part-time at a local restaurant.
