Hong Rang is an upcoming South Korean TV series with Lee Jae-wook and Jo Bo-ah. It's set to release on Netflix in early 2024.

Synopsis 

Hong Rang follows Hong-rang (played by Lee Jae-wook), the young heir of a prominent Joseon merchant who disappeared at eight but reappears at 20. Jae-yi (played by Jo Bo-ah), Hong-rang's half-sister, sets out to uncover his mysterious return.

Overview

Hong-Rang, portrayed by Lee Jae-Wook, was born into wealth and destined to lead a prestigious merchants' association in Joseon. However, at the tender age of 8, he mysteriously vanished without a trace. His determined older step-sister, Jae-Yi (played by Jo Bo-Ah), never lost hope of finding him. Meanwhile, their mother, the formidable Min Yeon-Ui (played by Uhm Ji-Won), who holds significant power in the merchants' association, faced immense challenges in his absence.

After 12 long years, Hong-Rang resurfaces as a 20-year-old man, but he returns with no recollection of his past and harbors a profound secret. Jae-Yi, skeptical of his true identity, finds herself drawn to him amidst her suspicions.

Lost and Found: The Tangeum Chronicles

"Tangeum" tells the story of Shim Yeol Guk's family, especially his daughter Jae Yi and his son Hong Rang. When Hong Rang disappears, it causes a lot of problems for the family. Mrs. Min, Shim Yeol Guk's wife, doesn't like Jae Yi much because she couldn't have kids herself. Then, fake Hong Rangs show up, making Jae Yi doubt everything. When Hong Rang comes back without his memories but looking like Mrs. Min, things get even more confusing. A guy named Kim Goeng Pyo shows up and says some things that make everyone question who Hong Rang really is. The story is about family secrets, trust, and figuring out who you really are.
